The Wunsch Building was formerly Bridge Street Methodist Church, which was the first independent black church in Brooklyn. It was also a stop on the Underground Railroad and has been a designated historic landmark since 1981. Presently it houses the Undergraduate Admissions offices for the NYU Tandon School of Engineering. We were responsible for developing an exterior restoration program and a window replacement project for this important structure.

We were responsible for the restoration and window replacement project for the former Bridge Street Methodist Church, which was the first independent African-American church in Brooklyn. It was also a stop on the Underground Railroad and has been designated a historic landmark since 1981. Presently it is the Wunsch Building at NYU Tandon School of Engineering and MAD’s work was carefully coordinated with the community and the NYC Landmark’s Preservation Commission.
