Originally built in 1888, this Romanesque Revival style townhouse had its front facade carefully restored while being converted to a single family home. All interiors were completely reconfigured and an elevator introduced at the center of the plan, allowing for the front and rear portions of the floors to be more equal. The rear façade was expanded, and a three-story contemporary exterior window composition affords greater amounts of light to spacious interiors. An additional floor was also added, providing ample space for a family room and exterior deck to coexist at the top of the building. Carefully selected materials are present throughout the residence making this a gem of a home on Manhattan’s Upper West Side, just half a block from Riverside Park.
