MAD guided and prepared all design work related to the exterior restoration of this Queen Anne/Renaissance Revival townhouse built in 1891. Part of a terrace on West 87th Street near Central Park West, the home had become a multiple dwelling and been stripped of its front stairs and architectural details. The new entry was carefully designed to follow historically accurate references. The Landmark’s Preservation Commission and local community commended this restoration effort, which included the replacement of all windows and the rebuilding of the entire rear façade, providing this new single family home with an elegant street presence.
