University Residence Hall

We renovated this 20 story residence hall located on East 14th Street just off Union Square. Scope included the redesign of all student rooms and common areas with the strategic application of a sustainable material palette. Our team also coordinated the complete installation of sprinklers, as well as the replacement of all light fixtures to LED type. The ground floor was be fully renovated seeking to provide larger student spaces, residential life offices and new amenities that were requested by Residential Life. Exterior scope included façade work and improvements to roof decks and outdoor spaces that are accessible to residents.

As the adjacent property was developed, MAD coordinated and designed the modification of lot line windows and wall construction that was impacted by the new building constructed by NYCEDC. A new revolving door was installed as the facade was also modified improving student flow to the residence hall.
