In coordinating the full buildout and relocation of this non-for-profits headquarters, MAD designed this partial 4th floor at a pre-war building located on Worth Street. The project’s goals were dictated by a need to reduce the rent lease from the previously occupied 4th and 5th floors to a single floor. We prepared several studies and test fits for PHS leadership, and their decisions led to this buildout for approximately 180 employees. The area reduction was possible because of careful planning by our team providing PHS with more efficient workstation layouts, the elimination of all private offices, and an increase in meeting area quantities. Several key meeting areas encourage team interaction and the main open lounge is a key amenity for staff while also designed to host all-staff meetings when scheduled.

The landlord, GFP acted as project managers and our scope was eventually expanded to include restrooms and the floor’s elevator lobby. Our presentation strategy utilized our three-dimensional Revit design process which allowed our clients to visualize the project through Virtual reality and clearly understand and comment of the project’s evolving design. Our team selected all lighting, finishes and sustainable materials for furniture components. Proudly, we have also redesigned multiple Health Center’s for this community focused resource at locations in Brooklyn, Queens and in The Bronx. This new facility will inspire teams of staff as they perform tasks in support of their outreach educational tasks, and other health related programs.
