The design of the NYU Faculty of Arts and Science offices united the Landmark Greek Revival style buildings at 4, 5, and 6 Washington Square North. Sensitive adjustments to the historic 1833 structures allowed for the interior areas to be opened up and the buildings to be connected across the front portions of the Garden level. The adherence to historic elements is contrasted with more contemporary interiors to create a cohesive design. Environmental graphics are also integrated in order to ease the flow of communication between these and all upper floors.
