MAD was contracted to redesign the three largest lecture rooms at Uris Hall for the Columbia Business School. The scope included minor reconfigurations, finishes, furniture, AV coordination, & lighting throughout. The team worked with Columbia University to meet a tight construction schedule & budget while providing upgraded facilities for this renowned school. The resulting renovation provides substantial improvements & updates to the aesthetics of the room, while also sensitively addressing significant AV & acoustic concerns. Three-dimensional panels provide robust acoustical mitigation for these ground floor spaces - while adding pops of color in line with the Columbia brand. Additionally, Public Assembly filings were handled by MAD for the larger 118 seat lecture hall.
