2016

As part of the Folly 2016 competition, sponsored by Socrates Sculpture Park and The Architectural League NY, this proposed project sought to create an open and inviting environment for educational activities and social gatherings. Our goal was to reutilize the park's existing shed to its maximum potential and increase the quality of its spaces, while extending it to the other existing tent covered area. The new roof planes are linked physically and visually to a series of landscape elements that ground the covered areas while protecting them from the surrounding autos and driveway. This results in a sense of place, that is flexible and open, while remaining consistent with the surrounding landscape.
